No don't start that way of thinking, we will all be doing 30kph if the hand-wringers hear that. I can have fun and ride safely below the speed limit. It's all about knowing your limits. The most ridiculous thing is that from next year no vehicle can be 5 star without stability control. It's just packing expensive stuff into cars for no gain.
I recall that one car missed a 5 star rating because it didn't have a little light to tell the passenger to fasten his/her seat belt.
Yet here are many particularly young people texting away at 100kmh happy in the knowledge that they are in a "safe" car. And the number of young girls particularly who love having their feet on the dashboard is scenic though frightening if you have any imagination.
