The difference between the Australian Aboriginal and the rest of the peoples on Earth, is that the horrors of invasion, displacement and degradation happened to them only recently. The rest have had time to recover and rebound. (Those who survived that is.)
Now the rest of Australia is trying to heal the wounds and effect their recovery, but it is they who have to recover and only they can do it.
    Cheers, Billy.
    Keeping it simple is complicated.

    Yep, the word is invasion.

I see the Invasion Day rally was larger than the official Australia Day rally in Melbourne. The word is out!

The same thing happened in America roughly the same time period, on a much larger and tragic scale. They'd laugh themselves silly if anyone wanted to either change the date of Thanksgiving Day or call it "Invasion Day"

The Guardian says so, ergo.... Try some other news sources, Mick. Many, many out there. Or, are you blinkered?

Yes, that's how the people coming in saw it. Now, how about viewing the situation from the point of view of the original inhabitants? Different opinion there, I'm sure. Or do their opinions not count because they're *****?

I take it then that the only view of history that is allowed is that of the victors.
