Sorry I wasted your time with my explanation Ferret,,

I was, after all,, just passing on the message,,,
all the explanations I had,, I also passed on,,

and thats why I left the post "open" after I posted.

I don’t think it matters what rules you cut and paste as I think there is more to the story.
And your view is not the majority but seem`s to be a minority view
Anyway what a load of crock from big brother .

How about if I put up an alternative directive from the Social Engineers. Let's ban the words "Military" and "Range" so that this forum can't use these words in any post.
Now that would get all of the "So What's" out of their armchairs. I did have another phrase in mind but I thought it may offend some of the precious flowers on here.

I, like others, am appalled that this sort of social engineering ( quite right, Mick ) is going on. However, if Dave loses Google, I'd suggest that we'd lose the forum.

Pointless railing about how it should be, we need to deal with how it is. There are many avenues to complain through. Here is not one of them. Google own Facebook. Complain there, as it is far more likely to filter back through if it hits them in the wallet, and this site is too small to have any impact at all.

PC is trying to kill our society. Fight back, before it does so.

Interesting. I don't like censorship, but I don't see that Inc. had any choice but to comply if the forum is to continue. I guess this is a by-product of the USA failing to deal with its extreme gun problem.

As usual, though, the rabid screechers are attacking the wrong people. Curtailing advertisement of firearms has been proven over and over again to be totally ineffectual.

Here's a thought. Has AdSense threatened any of the major movie studios re firearms in their movies? I mean, surely "Hollywood" are the arbiters of social behaviour. You just need to look at their behaviour. Streep stands in front of a mob decrying the democratically elected President, but is happy to stand and applaud Roman Polanski, a man charged with drugging and raping a 13 year old, a crime he refuses to return to the US to face. I wonder if AdSense has a position on THAT.

The US 'gun culture' is definitely a problem. I can't see any reason to connect this with that, though. In the US, guns are still advertised. ALL gun owners in this country are members of the SCA, and will receive their mag as part of their sub. ( Edit, this is how it is in Vic. ) Plenty of ads for firearms in there.

Google's arm has become far too long, in my opinion. It is why I don't use Fakebook, why I use another search engine, why I will not have an Android telephone. And people complain about Apple? I would have ten Apples before I went near Google. This simply reinforces that position.

Did you mean SSAA and if so not 100% true in Vic .
You can be registered hunter with a approved permit so no need to be in the SSAA

You are spot on Mick .

A certain amount of irony in an american organisation forcing censorship on gun conversations here hey!
