MoveLater2 Auto service while motor is out

In the near future I plan on doing an engine swap in my 300TDi D1. The original motor has just ticked over 485,000kms. It has been down on power for a little while, the timing belt is due soon as well as a few other minor things. I have a good spare that had the timing belt done, new vac pump, serpentine, new head, etc. so my thoughts are it is easier to just swap the motors out.
This leads me to my question, with the auto exposed, what preventative/service maintenance can happen (beside the obvious full flush) without the motor in the way.

Just check the flex plate condition as they are known to crack and replace the rear main and T seals on the donor before fitting, fluid flush wont be any easier apart from pulling the converter out and draining it not much else to do.
Actually change the o-rings on the cooler lines while you have access.

correct. I will get the 2 side by side to compare. Hopefully someone will chime in with details and what effects that may have.

I think the a/c compressor mount is different and the a/c tensioner adjuster plate is steel rather than alloy but both interchange.
