. Well i shuffled with my walking stick around the ward for some exercise. Came back to my bed in bit of pain and bleeding. Nurse informed me that theatre should have put a strap on the catheter to hold it to my leg when they fitted it. No strap meant the weight of the drain hose was tugging and pulling causing the pain and bleeding. A adhesive strap now on and so muh relief. Heaven. Cheers Mario
Get well mate. Keep those nurses on their toes. Cheers
Thanks for that! Most clear (and interesting) explanation I've ever had on this subject. Considering that in the recent past I've been interacting with lots of Cardiology type people, and was still fairly vague on the principles of the whole system, it's a great help, and it tickles my funny-bone to get an enhanced medical knowledge from a Land Rover forum!
What a diverse, brilliant, sometimes frustrating crew we have assembled here!
Back on subject - keep getting better Mario! And keep smiling - it confuses the heck out of them!
Hopefully the removal of the stone will allow everything to settle down and become more normal.
Incidentally the grandson with Scarlett Fever and a throat infection is improving and is home, but still has a way to go. More tests this arvo.
Hi guys just to let you know Mario has come home this afternoon. He is on total bed rest, and still on meds. He is very very slow in everything he does. So guys you are stuck with me for your orders for a while. Have been coping alright at the moment. Heather
Hi Heather, I know from experience that the worst thing for diabetics, like myself, is stress. So make Mario stay in bed, even if you have to strap him in. I'm sure that all of us are more concerned with Mario's health and your well being than getting parts 30 mins earlier! You tell Mario that I said he is always slow! That should get a laugh out of him. But most of all, I hope Mario takes his time and gets some quality healing time so that he has a better long term run with his health. Get him a couple of DVDs on fishing or a few books to read and tell him to shut up and let you do the worrying!
Cheers and Prayers,
Tom.
That sounds like a very good start to your recovery. All the best Mario & Heather.
