Certainly are. I’m sure there are plenty of others on here like me who don’t post and don’t know you personally, but see you as one of “the family” and are concerned.

Having been through the self-catheterisation thing myself, but only for a short time thankfully, I can empathise a little. I think not being able to **** was the scariest experience I have ever had.

Best wishes to the both of you and keep posting on your progress.

    Cheers,
    Jon

Stay positive mate, it's not about independence, it's about getting the help needed to live the fullest possible life.

I realise that Mick now , I have always been to proud or embarrassed to ask for a hand. I struggled a bit today to get dressed , standing I just couldn't lift the old legs to feed the trouser legs in, solution was sit on the bed and do it, but then struggled to stand up again from sitting . LOL . I even had to get Heather and son Brendon top help lift me out of the lounge chair the other day. I'm Like a beach whale some days. Might have to get a gantry and block and tackle fitted in the house LOL.
Physio again on Wed will see what torture they have planned this week for me.
    Cheers, Mario

Keep your chin up Mate, Physio is usually uncomfortable and can seem pointless at the time But even though the results can be annoyingly slow there is normally a good outcome from it eventually
Sorry to hear about your troubles Mate, You positive attitude and determination makes a huge difference and I hope you mend soon.

I lost it with myself today today at physio, I had my legs and feet examined has told to relax my feet which I was unable to do , they are always cramped up and loss of feeling. I was told to push my feet up and down against the physio's hand, I was trying my hardest and she keep telling me to push, I said I am pushing up and down on her hand. She told my the diabetes has deprived my nerves of blood hence the numbness and loss of touch.
Then I was told to stand in front of a small platform about 4 inches high and lift my leg put one foot onto the top of it and then put it back on the ground and repeat it as many times as I could in a certain timed period. I went reasonably ok with the left foot.
Then the ball breaker, when it came to my right foot, nothing happened, it was like it was glued to the ground some how, my mind was saying do it but right foot and leg and foot would not lift off the ground ,Like there was a break in communication, CBUS error
I started freaking out. I was able to walk though.
Got some exercises to do at home lifting my legs into the air and holding whilst sitting down and getting out of a chair only trying to use my legs.
Social worker coming to my house tomoz, then 2 occupational therapists on the 1st of May.
