When I was hit with the catheter bit a few weeks ago, I was shown by a nurse how to do it. She gave a 30 free ones and gave me detiails of Independence Aus with modell number to order them. I went on their web site and the code number were not there, the pics not the same.
I rang Coloplast Aust the makers of medical aids and a service rep phoned me back, he was very sympathetic and concerned. He organised some free products, various catheters styles, discreet travel ones etc. I spoke to him in the afternoon, next morning before 8 am I get a Toll priority delivery at my door with the samples!
A week later I got a follow up call to see how I am managing and it they can help me in any way. That is the best customer service I have ever experienced! You can not buy direct from them though, but they seem genuinely caring.[smilebigeye]

Wishing you a speedy recovery Mario. There are so many posts here about the support you and Heather have provided the Land Rover community over the years ... I hope the collective good will headed back you way assists in some small way to lifting your spirits.

Mario I’m glad to hear you are out of hospital and on what sounds to be a longish road to recovery. My thoughts are with you both.

Very glad to hear your problems have been identified and the treatment is helping. I expect that learning to adjust to your altered lifestyle may be your biggest challenge. We blokes are often not good at accepting help when our sense of independence is challenged. I'm older than you so I'm allowed to say that, young fella. Although we've never met I can see you're a genuine bloke so just keep focusing on what is most important and real to you, including your wife.
BTW hospital staff are great, aren't they, despite all the administrator crap and government cost-cutting they have to endure, they just go on helping people. Real gems.

Sounds really unpleasant Mario... I am glad to hear you are home.
Take care mate...

I don't know you guys but I will happily join Towie 0609s' "collective good" and wish you both well.

Heather took me out to visit the local chemist, I wanted to get some of those blood lance thingo the hospital used on me, I Like them better than the than the pull and fire one I am presently using. Found out they are not on the free list ( off course only the cheapies are) But ordered them anyway.
We had to pass some religious sprukers on the walking stick aided hobble to the chemist, Some new church had opened up in Upwey area, they tried to force a leaflet on to us, we politely said we were not interested. when leaving the chemist hobbling back to the car, we were again approached by some one, we politely said we were not interested and tried not to make eye contact, the guy then tried to pass the leaflet to us, we said we do not have time. He then yelled at us and said "you do not have time for Jesus".
I never felt the urge so much to belt someone over the head with my new walking.
