We had to pass some religious sprukers on the walking stick aided hobble to the chemist, Some new church had opened up in Upwey area, they tried to force a leaflet on to us, we politely said we were not interested. when leaving the chemist hobbling back to the car, we were again approached by some one, we politely said we were not interested and tried not to make eye contact, the guy then tried to pass the leaflet to us, we said we do not have time. He then yelled at us and said "you do not have time for Jesus".
I never felt the urge so much to belt someone over the head with my new walking.

Crikey, although I don't know you from a bar of soap, thought I too, would join in and wish you a speedy recovery Mario! Like your sense of humour despite your recent woes.

Don't know about sense of humour,I class myself as a cantankerous grumpy bastard. My Pych however says opposite and the Chaplin in hospital also commented that I do care for others. I disagree I'm a grumpy bastard.

Great to hear that you are home mate. Have to agree about the staff at Box Hill. I have heard horror stories of that place, but they treated Jan brilliantly, and were amazing to all of her family.

PS, I agree with you: you ARE a grumpy old bastard.

PPS. Next time, how about you pay someone else to change the oil?

John, you know what it's like when you want to be independent, it's a male thing, but sometimes I suppose you just gotta face the fact that you may no longer be able to do stuff like before.
