80km/h for 200km then an hour charge. I can beat that travelling at 60km/h.
I wonder what the range would be on a 42 degree day? They do have air conditioning, don't they?

I imagine that the first trailer of the roadtrain has the 50kva genset on it [bigwhistle]
Regardless of how much range an electric vehicle has got it is reliant on fossil fuels to recharge via the grid or a genset unless it is fully solar powered So they are really Not making any dents in greenhouse emissions at all. [bigwhistle]
They are actually , an electric motor is so much more efficient at converting energy into traction than an internal combustion engine . There is only 1 moving part and are no touching parts to create friction wasting energy thus creating heat . Not consuming any oil or requiring oil at service intervals.
Not many countries other rely on coal / diesel to produce electricity.
They’re also shifting the emissions to a “single source” - whatever is needed to produce the power - so if it was a Coal power station there’s need for a coal mine.
Not a need for 3 Oil rigs, Ships, Port operations, a refinery, distribution tankers...
Big picture [emoji41]
so more job losses then [bigwhistle]
Nope. Different jobs....
Very few (if any) power stations are built in a coal mine, most use road and/or rail transport to get the coal to the end use point - still lots of diesel or diesel/electric being used in that, plus the handling at either end. [biggrin]
Then the distribution cost of the electricity, poles and wires still have to be manufactured and shipped to where they're used.
A big percentage of the populace have no inkling of the infrastructure that needs to be in place for ANY form of energy to be available for general usage. Until a distribution system falls over, anyway - look at the angst in the UK at the moment, because 900 KFC stores can't get chicken!! [bigrolf]
