Thread: DPF's the end of diesel cars in cities?

Apple deliberately made its devices require different software and accessories to maximise it's profits. Mind you, consumers are revolting and going to the more interchangeable Android model.
Lithium and lead crystal batteries will revolutionise vehicle battery systems over time I think. Charging and battery swap systems will change our expectations.

Tool batteries are all 18650? The casing is different yes. but the actually batteries are all the same

I read about it. Tesla cancelled this supercharger program because of low usage.

People prefer slow but free charging....Rather than quick paid battery swap...

I just hope they get the dust sealing right on the electric motors!

Once all these electric cars start taking over, there'll be less demand for petrol/diesel, so that production will no longer be subsidising the production of asphalt (a byproduct of the refining process). So when the price of asphalt goes through the roof, the only alternative will be going back to gravel roads. At least people will learn how to drive a bit better ... Whoops, that's right, the cars will be doing all the driving, won't they? Wonder how the robot will handle corrugations on an off-camber corner?

And don't even consider using concrete - that's got a worse environmental footprint than coal!

Nothing is "free" - somebody, somewhere, is picking up the tab, and it's usually the poor bastard at the bottom of the chain that pays!

a tesla truck that has a range of 500 miles BUT actually isnt in production.
Sorry I cant find specs for the weight of the tesla truck, the weight of its batteries, its payload, could you provide a link? cheers.

TOYOTA are at OVER 10 million hybrid electric cars!!
FUSO / DAIMLER have BOTH hybrid electric and full electric trucks IN PRODUCTION.
FORD with DHL are building all electric vans.
So these are the companies driving the EV technology further and faster than..... other pie in the sky companies.

AND..... back on topic, no DPF, DPD technology wont see the end to the diesel cars in cities.

EURO 5 / 6 emissions are so strict that DPF/DPD technology isnt enough to make a diesel green enough.
All new diesels are diesel exhaust fluid technology.
