Three tiers of Chilli kangaroo jerky in the dehydrator for an upcoming fishing trip.
It makes a great air freshener throughout the house too.

I normally have vegemite sandwiches with honey or golden syrup, as I find the sweetness of the one, balances out the saltiness of the other.

Another weird salty-sweet combo is bacon and pancakes with maple syrup for breakfast, supposedly a Canadian thing according to my girlfriend at the time, it does taste good though.

Yanks are big on this for breakfast. I just replace the pancakes and syrup with more bacon. The other USA breakfast delicacy I can not face is biscuits (scones) and gravy. The gravy looks like something found on the floor of a taxi on Saturday night. Sausage is a patty of sausage mince and proper sausages are called links. Sausage and corn bread is a popular breakfast dish particularly in the South. The corn bread is a saucer sized piece 1" - 1/1. 5" thick fresh made in a frying pan. Quite good in most diners.

    Hello from Brisbane.

Reminds me of a trip I took to the USA with the family back in 1997. I was travelling back to Chicago with my late father-in-law early one morning and decided to stop over for breakfast in a small rural town. Settled in the stalls of the town's only diner, the waitress asked what we wanted and my father-in-law said that he wasn't very hungry (wary/weary of the size of US breakfasts) and saw biscuits on the menu. So, thinking that he was getting something like a cup of coffee and a couple of johnny cakes he ordered them. Something looking like a chamber pot filled with - your description is apt - turned up at the table and with some embarrassment he was looking around for the waitress to suggest that the order was wrong. I told him to dig his fork into the pot and would likely find a couple of scones somewhere in there - correct as it turned out.....

The waitress was cute and the coffee was OK.

    Cheers,

    Neil

Thai meat jerky, I think it is called. Simple to make, may have to adjust the chillie component to taste. From the self sufficient me site. Cyrovac for long life.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
