I looked up my 74 RRC and it said Tony. Optional accessory it seems.

Full of hot air, obese redneck that is only installed when he needs a lift from one 'venue' to another coz he's too lazy to walk.

Has been known to go off, inflicting self injury.

Takata airbag recall: Holden and Tesla yet to give details

They quote Jag Land Rover with 17,500 vehicles:

    Jaguar-Land Rover: 17,500
    Jaguar XE 2007-2017
    Jaguar XF 2016 and 2017
    Jaguar F-PACE 2017
    Range Rover (Vogue) 2007-2012
    Discovery Sport 2015-2017

But I have not found an official site listing them.

Our 2009 Forester had the passenger's airbag replaced late last year. We didn't get a letter asking us to come in - I went onto the Suby website and booked it in for the following week. It was done on the day I requested.

That was my take on it too. The recently manufactured, old design bags are safe for a few years. So, better being able to drive than not at all if you were left waiting for the production run of new 'completely safe' bags to come into the market.

I think the airbag has to dry out before the problems occur.
