Let's see now!
Telstra call centre, with all your details, is staffed by people of a certain persuasion.
Scammer call centres staffed by same.
1+1= Liaison.
Perhaps for the 'Conspiracy Thread'.[biggrin]

For some reason I'm getting lots of texts "your package has arrived, click the link below to arrange delivery" and phonecalls from Telstra' recently.
With the 'package has arrived' you only have to look at the link address to realise it's a scam.
The 'Telstra' calls are always from a very noisy call centre. I asked today where in India he was based and the rude ***** hung up on me !
Blocking several numbers per week at present.
The scary thing is they must have some success otherwise they wouldn't be doing it !

Same here as well as SWMBO all sorts of different attempts to scam you to click their links and enter your details. My annoying calls increased significantly after I was foolish enough to put a (supposedly concealed) phone number on Gumtree in Feb when selling a car.

Every day last week been receiving text messages about a missed call voice message wanting me to load an app to listen to the message but my call list dose not show any missed calls. Been blocking them all week & today had four. All the numbers end in one number from the previous I received.
I have been receiving them for 2 weeks
I’ve been replying with a text telling them to **** off in very crude manor
I think it has got them going as I received 10 over the weekend
The phone numbers are all completely different from each other
My nephew got the parcel tracking a couple of weeks ago and opened the link (he said it looked legitimate and he was waiting for a parcel) all hi contacts with android phones kept getting random texts from him
Every one with an iPhone got none[emoji1531]
There was a security update from apple for my 5s last week.
Got a few more over the weekend. My son in law told me to block all numbers that are not in my contact list , that would be OK except I have been trying to find a landscaper that will call back for last year & if I block all numbers I will never find anyone , even the ones that have contacted me never turn up to see what we want done.
I get attempts to contact me on the landline that I assume are scams.
I have learned that if I wait for about five rings at least half of them stop before I pick up; usually on the third ring.
I have also learned that if I hesitate for about a second before I speak that gets rid of at least half of the remaining ones.
I assume all that hesitation gives some other victim time to respond to the scammers automated dialling so my call drops out.
