Which one would you prefer to push .............................................. the old 2strokes weigh next to nothing. I rekcon they'll be close to 8hp given 5hp 4strokes lawn mowers I've tried.

A quality 4stroke is obviously far far better if you are someone that keeps your grass in good order and only need a "normal" sized hand mower (easier starting, quieter, far more fuel efficient).

Actually ... diesel wins ... My ****ty old tractor is the best mower of the lot. It cuts 2.25metres at a time and seems to use less fuel than the 2stroke hand mower!

I have seen a twin cylinder Victa mower in the past ..... I didn't realise they had built such a beast.... Should I have purchased it and fitted the motor to the super 600

You actually don't need a bigger motor. I know the super 600s look ridiculous ... but that little 2stroke has the grunt to cut anything you can drop/push that cutter deck onto. There is probably a substantial belt reduction down to the cutter deck to multiply the torque that little 2stroke is punching out.

Hi. The top or bottom main bearing in probably worn & that has worn the seal so it will be sucking air in & will not back off. You may get away with 2 new seals.

    thansk guys,

I need to chase up a new diaphragm cover and go from there. It must be the issue as I found it's come away and I've lost the spring when I tried to cut around the carport a few nights ago .... I love making life easy for myself ........ So now I need to buy a diaphragm cover and spring ... and probably top and bottle seals as suggested.
