Secure your winch

The authorities license people to drive, but do they need a license to procreate. The size 12 boot needs to be reinstated, the use of corporal punishment didn't leave many scars.

Physical work to make them tired and appreciate a hard earned privelege would do some a great deal of good.

We had the boat winch done on the trailer whilst out on the water. They wraped the cable around wheels, lights, brake calipers and then winched it until all was stuffed.

Catching them is one thing but does the judicial system really mete out the true justice. Where is the disincentive to be a criminal?

Urban myth. The story has been doing the rounds for over 10 years. I've never seen any pictures published of this anywhere on the 'Net or in any magazine.

That doesn't mean that someone won't try it one day.

If one wanted to isolate the winch, you only need to isolate the control circuit, not the heavy current cables.

Another version a mate of mine DID see the result of is in a under cover carpark, spool the cable to the side past the cars next to the 4x4, attach the cable to a concrete pillar then start the winch.

It pulls the 4x4 side ways into the car next to it, then the one next to it etc until the load gets too much and blows the fuseable link!

This particular one damaged FIVE vehicles in one go!!!

I would happily turn the other way if the owner caught the little darlings :x .

It's not an urban myth, I've seen photos posted before (can't remember where) The car was f#%ked, unless of course the power pole the poor bloke was parked nose up to, just managed to fall straight down the guts of his 4x4.

They do get their comupance. back in 98 I had a Hyundai Excell https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ . stop the snickering! They broke into it tride to steel the stereo but couldn't so took the detachable face that was under the seat. They broke the steering colum cover trying to hot wire it but couldn't so used the fire hose next to it to leave me a pressent. They were so bright that they failed to notice the 3 swords on the back floor. 2 of which were sharp and one which was a display only.

Cost a friend and me a total of $300 to bodge the car up enough to trade it ASAP.
That included joining heaps of the wires and supergluing the steering cover back to gether. At least the dealer didn't notice and traded it as a near new car.

At least with a hand winch I'm safe from these little ******....

I ALMOST caught the local hoods about to do this to my car! Little B##turds had the cble out about 2 metres and walking around the car...lucky i'm a light sleeper... the paper clip was inserted to one side. I had my mate fit a key type isolator under the bonnet.... nice peace of mind
