Probably, being spied on, is something we will have to get used to.
The D3 states in the owners manual that it records certain information which may be used in the event of an accident.

I noticed many years ago that the bank would have no trouble knowing where you at & what you are buying etc, just from where & how much you use your EFT/ATM card. I'd forget I had been somewhere until I looked at my bank statement.

Your phone records where you are, I guess it could even tell someone when you get out of bed? Along with who & where your friends, relatives etc are.

Kind of scary in a way, but most people would not give it a second thought.

We could, of course, go without our smart phones, computers, modern cars & the digital world.
Do I want to do that?
No!
So I have to put up with vaguely knowing I have very little real privacy, I don't like it, but I don't see an acceptable way around it.

Yeah but government's pitch to the public. They love a good percentage. Data analysis across the entire population can direct paths to manipulate your vote, to gain and distract your attention. If they can analyse what the majority are thinking and doing in real time, they have a super power! We become a lower class of being, unable to think ahead of our superiors who continue to operate under the protection of privacy and secrecy whilst they have full access to the lives and minds of plebs

How do you think Trump did so well at election time?

There was a company that used Facebook data to determine how likely it was you could be swayed to vote for trump. They designed targeted ads for these people. I think it cost Trump about $5m too - peanuts in an American election.

The biggest concern is accidental or malfunction based wrong accusation. Wrong place at wrong time, even if it’s virtual. Freedom is a complex thing in the digital age.

Doesn’t bother me in the slightest. My work vehicle I drive to the letter of the law as I’m never in a rush at work and never use my phone illegally either.

On the weekends if I’m driving the 101 then surveillance is hardly an issue as is speeding - and I rarely take my mobile with me.

And really - if they want to spy on me, they are in for a hell of a boring time....

Hmmm... so if I always leave my phone home ontop of the fridge where it lives (doesn't that **** the boss women off ).... and drive cars made in the pre-90's ... er, actually the cars I drive were designed in the early 70's and earlier.... I think I'm pretty safe.... Pitty the damn $afety camera$ still see me

Most of us have a gps in the car. They track speed, lat and longitude, sometimes street name. All you need is a laptop with Excel.
Worried about people knowing where you were are etc, errm.. bit late. After an accident - take your gps with you.
