Actually,Holden sedans and wagons came out with coils all round,HQ comes to mind, about '71.

Ford stayed with leaf springs, particularly in the wagons, and didn't change to coils for many years after.

If holden aren't going real well,i wonder if that will jeopardise the money going into the Supercars?
    ?

Doesn't the Navara run coils all round?

IIRC even the last Falcon wagons (and utes) had leaf rears and the sedans changed to rear coils when the XF was introduced in 84.

I think it was '82 XE that went to coils, unless my memory has seniors disease.
    For sedan only.

I had the Xd,e,and f as service vans, the Xe was the pic of them.
Even the leaded Xf wasn't a match on the Xe.
Like most Fords, they came with the factory fitted, no extra charge accessory, called rust....
Oh,and the faulty fuel gauge sensor,no charge either.
Ford blamed water in the tank, yer sure.....

In those days,my boss had a new S pack, and it was stolen.
It disappeared from his driveway in Sunnybank.
Four days later he saw it on the news,it had been used in a bank robbery, the police had a shootout with the thieves.
Got it back a week later, with three bullet holes in it...,and covered with that fingerprint stuff, and blood all over the passengers seat.

I think merc altered and improved the navara rear coils for the MB thing, now nissan have improved the rear coils on the navara. Metc must have had fun trying to make a silk purse and still ending up with a mongrel. But i like what i have seen of the interior.

There have been at least two steel price rises since the new ownership, so time will tell either way.

Depends on the model spec, leaves or coils
