We go through about 1200 wheelbarrows a year here (used to transport oil palm bunches, possibly 120 - 140 kg per load)
I have long been looking for a better barrow.
Just had the first shipment of a 100 barrows from a manufacturer in Melbourne, (part of my covert buy Australian program).
Given they used to make parts for Holden, i am hopeful, but cautious they have the capability to make wheelbarrows
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

Brickies tend to get strong wheelbarrows that you wont find in a bunnings. When they get over filled with dry pressed bricks its a heavy load, and they dont get put in gently. Despite continual punishment they last for ages. Hardwood handles, losts of flat bar steel reinforcements, marine plywood under the steel bucket? Moss?

Well I believe I’d be a little better positioned to know Holden - how long before the end?

    Thread hijack.....

Interesting stuff, did a few in Gladstone years ago.
Massive rooms, large Bitzer semis, some had evaporative condensers used as evaporaters,if that makes sense.
