I need a land anchor or something

Hi to all. As in the title guys, please recommend me something which i can use in deep mud to winch myself out which will not be a nightmare to remove after i used it but to be strong enough to pull out the D2 if i get stuck in mud, no trees where i go between rice fields... i'm opened for any solution...will something like this be good?

Something like that may work, but probably just as effective and cheaper would probably be a marine anchor. The most effective would be a plough or CQR type, but almost as effective and easier to carry is a Danforth type. Size? I would guess about 15kg, but that is only a guess. All of these are easily removed if you attach a few metres of rope to the crown of the anchor so it can be pulled out backwards after recovery by either the vehicle or your winch.

No matter what you use as a ground anchor point it will be a PITA to get it out of deep mud Sand isn't too bad you can brush that off and the digging is easy, Mud not so much.
Your best solution is to not travel alone, That way you can use another vehicle as an anchor point

Star pickets. They always seem to be present in the mud plains up here, in the long grass (rice is a grass isn't it?). Generally in tight clusters of two or three. They self store under your front fender or, if bent over, in your radiator. Hi-lift jack is good for pulling them when moving on. Combine them with fibre glass waffle boards.

Trailer a quad if its a return rather than through trip. Your own tractor.

What's the attraction to lanes between rice fields - bird watching?

Google "rainforest challenge land anchor", and search youtube too.... Lots of pics and images of the kit that the competitors use for quick winch recoveries.

Deadman Earth Anchor looks to work pretty well for single vehicle winching.

It basically a blanket with straps stitched to it, you dig a hoe and bury it and connect the winch to the straps. Once you are done you pull it out of the ground with your vehicle.

You would be flat out digging a hole and burying that in soft sand, yet alone in mud.
