The truth behind the Woman overboard

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

till the next big sea wipes them off ...

been on the Dawn and i thought the thing was quite secure for what it was.

you'll never stop someone that has it in their mind to do that sort of thing, maybe slow them down a little, sadly

    Hi,
It would be a hard impact on the water from 40 odd meters.
    Very sad for all involved.

    Cheers

Normally in rough weather the doors to the weather decks are locked, for passengers safety. Almost impossible to stop some one jumping from the top deck. As was said to me by a sergeant of Police ,after I cut down a young man who hung himself [ over a woman] you can't stop them, they will find a way.

Sadly, the amount of women who are on, or need, medication is on the rise, and has been for at least a couple of decades (based on ABS stats). Women are less happy than they have ever been where men are about the same. Also, usually the hubby has not much to do with it though as it is mostly societal pressure - or the woman's need to meet unrealistic expectations. (Thanks for nothing 3rd wave feminism!) The reverse however (men suiciding) is much, much more likely. It is a permanent solution to a temporary problem, but unfortunately it's just the route that society has taken over the last 2-3 generations. Guys don't talk things out (get no help, or see no escape), whereas women do talk things over. Either way (men or women), mental illness is no joking matter and it is always hard on all concerned. Having lived with someone who had (still has) BPD, it sure aint easy. Poor, poor woman, and her family. Utterly tragic waste of life.

My thoughts are with the Kids...
    - Have seen the devastation wrought by a parent taking themself out. I'ts one of the main things that kept my thoughts straight when I was in the Bottom of the Pit.
Well, not quite right, When you're collapsed on the bottom EVERYthing is just Too Hard, - but it's when you're climbing back out...and you start slipping a bit... and get terrified of sliding back down...that you take that 'climbing out' energy and use it to...

Take - Home message for all Friends and Carers...

'It's when the patient is on the way UP... that they're in the most danger of making that sudden, panicked decision.'
