I think they mean between El Nino and La Nina. a.k.a. SOI Southern Oscillation Index

Cold here. And dry predicted to continue. Be buying water by September at this rate.

After that last lot of rain the country here has gone from barren dry paddocks to lush green pasture and the rain is set to continue for most of this week.
All of the dry seeded paddocks that were sown before the last lot of rain has germinated and doing well and this next lot of rain is very welcome despite a bit of wind with it.
We pretty much went from Summer straight into winter here.
