Jaguar Landrover reducing Staff in UK

This is an article from Reuters today:-

    BUSINESS NEWS
    APRIL 16, 2018 / 6:37 PM / A DAY AGO
Jaguar Land Rover to cut UK staff, output as diesel sales slump.

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain’s biggest carmaker Jaguar Land Rover (TAMO.NS) said it will cut 1,000 jobs and reduce production at two of its English factories as demand for diesel cars slumps in the face of higher taxes and a regulatory crackdown.

The company, which builds nearly one in three of Britain’s 1.7 million cars, will lay off some of its agency workers at its central English Solihull site and move just over 360 people to the location from its nearby Castle Bromwich plant.

Makes you wonder when all these Companys move offshore and no at home has any jobs to purchase anything who are they going to sell too , money was made round to go round , the game of Monopoly demonstrates what happens when all the money is owned by a few .

Interestungly Wallmart in the USA brought up this very scenario when they championed a payrise to their workers when it was blocked by others a few yrs back .

Maybe everthing will be nationalised and we can start all over again . .

Well, they aren't selling too many Defenders, and those that want something like the D4 have been sent down the road to a dealership which doesn't have a big green oval sign above it.

Some say the missing piece is free movement of human capital in a world of globalisation

I.E. The layoff British workers should move to Czech, following the jobs.

Obviously they don't want to so only the positions go to Czech...

And if labour is cheaper in Czech.....Maybe the Brits should also lower their wage. Every country is competing on global market afterall.

    Cheers

But the counter argument is that if we reduce the wages to the middle classes and their spending power is reduced to mere survival mode, who is going to buy all this **** that is being made more cheaply?

What we're seeing is the inevitable result of almost a century of Keynes idea of economics, allied with the globalization portion of the New World Order.
    Welcome to the future, folks!

Yeah and that is the cruel part of the theory is that these ppl should move to a cheaper country.

In the sense, there are no nations but only one big blue globe.....Free movement of people, resource and capital.

Those rich guys are not Australian Americans British Chinese etc.. they are cosmopolitans. They are not bond to one nationality. New York, Sydney, London Beijing are all the same to them.

There is already relatively free movement of capital and resources...so that's why some say the missing piece is open boarder so ppl can move freely for Max efficiency

Also there is purchasing power part which you briefly mentioned. Yes you are right.
But bear in mind that the reason to move manufacturing overseas, is lower cost and more profit. It is a brilliant idea and it has generated enormous wealth for the rich. And it is painfully obvious that these money will not be invested in the original country where the industry is removed from. Maybe only in war and centerlink

Anyway those rich British, Americans or Aussie couldn't care less. Like I mention, they are not bonded to one nationality anyway....
