On the return trip I noticed that as I drew closer to Brisbane, (within a radius of about 300 ks or so), I was apparently no longer trustworthy enough to maintain this breakneck speed as the allowable limit on the same width of road dropped to 100, and then eventually 80 the closer to Brisbane I got. I was however allowed to travel at 110 where there was a multi lane carriageway.
There are only a couple of conclusions one can come to,
    1) We city people are more precious than our country cousins, or
    2) City people are dumber and lousier drivers than our country cousins and need outside help to stay within the limitations of a single lane.
I, as a city person nowadays, found this so 'offensive' that I had to go to the "crying room" and have a good cry for about a minute before I could get over it.

City drivers are used to better roads, lower speeds, no wandering wildlife and not being fatigued from hours of driving.

And they slow them down so when they play bumper cars it hurts them a little less.

Many couldn’t drive a greasy finger up their own bum!

    No hands free allowed either.
I worked for BHP for a couple of years in Singapore, and you weren’t allowed to walk and talk on mobiles in the office or out in the street! Had to maintain two point contact on the stairs.... etc... same rules apply in all sites, open cast mine, drill site or office!

Honestly if someone doesn’t realise the car is unlocked or the key is still in the ignition, then they don’t have the ability to be in control of the vehicle, and shouldn’t have the privelidge of having a drivers license.
Hmmm.. my recently acquired P38 does that - really annoying.

Maybe it is too smart for me and I should go back to the S1
