Was at Parramatta RSL at 4am with wife and son this morning. Smallish parade but lots of people out to watch and support, like my little family.

And the Chief's cap badge has some extra gold scrolling around the anchor. Excellent photo of a loving family. Here is a different story of another loving family , started in the deserts of Egypt, survived the Western Front, all predicted by fortune teller in Egypt.

Sorry I didnt reconise you straight away lewy.........was not used to seeing you in uniform and a clipped beard..........the Landrover was borrowed from a fellow called Ian who has a crook ankle and couldnt drive it........it is perfect for taking a vet in the passengers side.
I found a young bloke who loves my Studebaker 6x6 and he drove that for me.
The Inter Mk3/4 and the Landrover both had a Vietnam history .
The Landrover is interesting as it was involved in a ambush and people were badly hurt judging by the bullet holes still in the vehicle.
One of the Jeeps you had seen was driven by my 75 year old mum.....she owns it.............both the Studerbaker and that jeep have never missed a Nowra march for a long long time now.........I like the challange for the old army trucks not miss the march just as some of the diggers never miss a march.
