There is only two petrol turbos there .... I'd suggest the series I petrol turbo (onlly one). That way you get the grunty one with nice metal bumpers. The "prestiges" are extremely rare and incredibly expensive when new. They are the equivalent of the "LSE" Range Rover. The wheelbase is longer, as are the back doors. The roof is also higher, so you end up with a lot more space in the back seat (and all sorts of other luxury type fitments).
Ideal would be to grab a prestige....... and a petrol turbo and shove the turbo'd donk into the prestige. The prestiges have a "hydraulic clutch" .... You think "big deal .. most cars do" .... well there hydraulic clutch runs from the high pressure hydraulics, wtih the engine running, the clutch can be depressed with your little finger, and the throw of the clutch pedal is only about 2 inches. I found someone in germany wrecking a prestige, and had them send me out the parts to convert my CX2500 GTi Turbo to the hydraulic clutch ( all others have a cable clutch .. .and in the turbo models its very heavy).
In there time ( mid '80s) the petrol turbos were very fast cars. 0-100 in about 7.6seconds. No boost lag (nothing at all like the saab and other turbos of the time) and the little 4 banger was punching out about 300Nm of torque. Combine that with the staggering comfort and incredible road handling and you have an incredible vehicle. Mine will never be for sale (my father imported it back in 1996 from the UK)
this is what a CX looks like when not cover in dirt and bird ****
If you ever get a chance to buy/drive/ ride in a Citroen DS or CX ..... Jump at the chance. There is nothing else quite like one
