    Down side of being considerate

On the way home tonight I was waiting at the lights. A few cars back in the Que. On my left is a takeaway joint. A bloke want`s to exit. So I let him in as the lights changed to green, no big deal. Then he has a failure to launch, must have been a mechanical issue of some sort as the hazard lights came on. He is just making head way. So I finally managed to get around him and get through the lights before they changed. Not so good for the truck that was behind me though. Of all the cars i could have let in I get the one which is a dud.

    Was it a Land Rover?
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

I often do just that, let traffic into the queue of allow them through to side roads etc. And sometimes wait and wait as the other driver is not watching traffic and is obviously not expecting any politeness from most others and their reflexes are so slow it just doesn't filter through their thick heads.
Often you have to drive on and leave them still pondering what was going on......
Most times they won't even give a quick wave of the hand as a thankyou to the polite driver. Probably think it's their right that others should give way to them.....

Looks like there has been a curse put on that bit of road. Same spot, same time, tonight a small wee tiny car ran into the back of a large and very solid truck. Not a high speed impact but the damage to the car was not going to buff out. On the up side though I again manged to get through the intersection before the lights changed.
