Avoid the "missing link" Pennant Hills Rd like the plague, at any time of day or night, at all costs.
if you are too sad about missing the car museum in Gosford, make sure to visit the Infantry Museum at Singo.....

Ron is right on the money. This is the way I would go. I avoid toll roads.

I think their lease was up. I spoke with them in January and was told they would be gone by end of March.

Re the trip i would opt for the Putty Road via Windsor also..
