Who else donates....whole blood, plasma or platelets

A bit the same with Cancer. I never did find out whether it was the Ca or the medication I was on that barred me & I had been a donor for donkey's years.

Opinions varied from this one to that one so still none the wiser.

Back at it…….was on the not allowed to donate list for 4 weeks.

Very quite today…….apparently when it rains they get a heap of cancelations

I also learnt today that when one donates clinical products it’s very important to ring in if one feels unwell [emoji1784] in the following days as the product goes straight to a hospital but it doesn’t go to waste as it gets transferred to where all the other products go to be pulled apart.

The other good news is Arnott’s Jatz are back….I wasn’t a fan of the other brand….

In again today……..

I see they have reduced the wait time after having covid shots from 7 days to 3

Also learnt I can squeeze an extra plasma donation before Xmas, we’re allowed to donate upto 3 days early (normally 14 days between donations) 3 times per year.

Yeah wife would also love to donate…….but she suffers mad cow as well……

Forgot to post up this week donation of liquid gold…….

It was my fist time donation within the normal 14 days……be patient as it seems the team don’t see this that often.

Back when I book the the lady at the counter couldn’t do it and had to get the the senior nurse to do the booking

On donation day the tablet wouldn’t allow me to proceed……the lady behind the counter had to make a few more clicks on tie computer.

And than the gal doing the interview also couldn’t proceed toward the end and needed to ask one of the other girls…..

All good……….they all said they had learnt something.

I squeezed the extra donation cause I was away for Xmas and they normally run a little short.

So, it is easy to imagine that same unfamiliarity crap going on right through the Medical Profession at the mo? Not all branches obviously.

I wouldn’t have called it chaos…….and now they are all a little wiser given very few donors asked to donated earlier than the stand wait time.

It didn’t make the visit any long than normal……

Now if they mess with the Jatz biscuits this will cause chaos.
