Who else donates....whole blood, plasma or platelets

Have had two goes with C (Bowel & Prostate) & that apparently excludes me as well as the medication I was on first time around ie. Alcaran.

Have tried to get back on the Register a couple of times but the answer is still a resounding "NO".

Looks like I will live to a "ripe olde age" after all unless I walk in front of a Bus.. [smilebigeye]

Age has got a bit to do with it Weeds. [wink11] But I'm way behind where I could be if I'd been more consistent.

I was up to 75 whole blood before switching to plasma after I retired.

I'm up to about 130, usually plasma, occasional whole blood when they want it instead.

About to head off for another Plasma donation.....

Hits close to home......my dad is unwell and is going up to the hospital for two bags of blood in an effort to lift his white blood cell count.

Makes the effort worth while....
