Sunshine Coast Council has just refused an NBN satellite tower because it didn't comply with local planning rules. It would have been only 3km from Maleny. Residents wanted fibre instead, but NBN had refused and insisted it had to be satellite. Will NBN now approve fibre instead?
Satellite tower???? Sure you don't mean wireless?
Satellite uses dishes, not towers.
Yes, a tower.
I must be lucky , dont have any problems with NBN , better than the treacle slow ADSL was [bigsmile1][bigsmile1].
Not Wireless , but my NBN was Slooow up until about 4 weeks ago when it went from about 2-3 Mbps at peak times to now 11 all the time.
I reckon Optus bought more bandwidth.
IMHO, most NBN problems are caused by ISPs not buying enough bandwidth.
I might even go to 25 now seeing I am getting what I pay for.

Yep, I'm one of the lucky ones too - mine runs around 90MBPS on the ethernet cable and rarely slows below this. The wireless runs around 40MBPS - slows to around 35 during peak times. No complaints from me personally, but the whole show is a crapshoot - you don't know what you'll end up with until it's connected.
So the NBN guys were supposed to front on Monday,no one arrived.
Yesterday they disconnected one of our lines, can't ring in or out on it.
Today an email arrives saying they are having difficulties with one line.
So i suppose this will turn into a dragged on saga......[bigsad]
I hooked into the NBN a couple of weeks ago. Certainly no more or less drop outs than what we got with ADSL and I get a steady 47Mbps so Im not complaining about my speed now
