    A new target.

Cyclists and truck drivers take a breather. BCC has offered you some respite, in the form of a new set of wheels with which to moan about.

Mobility scooters face speed limit after Brisbane Council push
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Damn, I just put a 1000 cc bike motor on grandpas . Took him too long to get to the shops and back. Still happy he doesn’t need a helmet 😈

The bloke up the road has one.
I have twice nearly backed into him as he speeds past,on the road.

noticed the other day he has a flag thing on it,like we had on the desert crossing....

Maybe i am not the only one that has nearly hit him.

I thought most displayed a national flag , larger the flag the more arrogant in the supermarket aisles. At least in places I have lived.

There is a fellow who lives near me who uses a mobility scooter. He has a flag. He rides it on both the footpath and the road. He travels at a sensible, safe speed. Safe for both himself and other road/footpath users.
There was an elderly lady near me who used a mobility scooter. She had no comprehension of the speed she was doing. For her, it was either flat out or stopped. I nearly got bowled over by her a number of times. Haven't seen her for a few years. I suspect her family saw what a danger she was or she is a smear on the side of someone's car.
Mobility scooters should be speed limited.

Oh, I'll add, a mate is legally blind so he can't get a licence. He did a bit of research and found out you could ride a motorised bike, on the road, unlicenced, if it was under a certain capacity.
So, imagine that, an unlicenced, blind motorbike rider on the streets, legally. And it didn't need registration.

When I was was a DSS field officer we regularly found persons receiving the Disability Blind Pension who had driver's licences. You don't have to be totally blind to get the blind pension but you do have to have very seriously impaired vision. I made a point of asking if they still drove. Usual answer was along the lines "Oh, I just go down to the shops" and "I just pick the grandchildren up from school. I don't really go anywhere." A Blind Pension should be automatic cancellation of driver's licences but fed and state govts don't talk to each other or see eye to eye. Besides, pensioners vote.
