Here is a link to an interesting web site.
Transmission Adapters
I have been for a drive in the V12 rat rod. Awesome, 14 litre V12 from a fire appliance. Talk about low speed grunt!
Bob Bendtsen has sold the business and is to work for the new owner for two years and is clearing out his treasures for an easier move. He tells me he has taken 25 tons of scrap out so far.
The business and Bob are moving from the northern fringe of Minneapolis to near Madison, WI. He has bought an empty 1940's dance hall and roller rink, 22,500 square feet with 30' ceilings to convert into an apartment and Bob's man cave. I asked if the dance hall girls were included in the deal. He replied that they are all in the nearby old folks home.
Bob is a hell of a nice guy and is happy to show visitors around if you make an appointment. Usually lots of interesting cars and engines there. He likes big engines, V12 GMC's, GMC in-lines, Seagrave and other fire appliance engines, big Waukesha. He has a big 800 cubic inch Waukesha in-line 6 for sale and a GMC 503.
