The boys are on the way out

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Talking to ABC News 24, cave diving expert Dr Rogers has been offering a few more thoughts on how the rescue will happen.

He said he doesn't think the boys will be expected to do anything during the operation — the expert divers will take care of everything.
"I don't believe the kids will be doing anything. They won't be swimming. They may not even have fins on. The expert diver [will] have a minimum of two independent air supplies on them, I suspect they will be carrying another bottle as well, but they will know the distances of all the sumps [underwater flooded sections] and there's spare bottles they can pick up."

They need more than crossed fingers, I'm afraid. The rain is pouring down. A Beaconsfield type miracle is needed, God willing.

You are right, mate. The rain has stopped, for now. Top marks to the rescue divers. It's up to them now.

Yes i get a good feeling about this. I must say the media has been milking it i feel. With proper tuition and expertise there should be no issue getting these kids, who are right at that age when they feel invincible😲, out safe.

The divers have been doing dry runs for the last 4 days. 2 divers, one boy[ practice]. They have it down pat. The only problem is if the full face masks the boys will be wearing fill with water , an experienced man needs a lot of practice to clear the water. I did a bit of ships diving, back in the day. I know the feeling of panic, if things go wrong. The problem is the choke point, where they have to go through one at a time. Everything depends on the divers, now. I'm sure they will be ok.

Great to have a good news story rather than all the other crap!

Finally checking back in on the news - great to hear some (one report says 6) boys are out. Fantastic rescue effort.

(Media milking it is nothing compared to Elon Musk milking it. Offering his suggestions and machinery. What a media hungry goose. Media's been reporting as though he's the guy who will save the day. What would he know about cave rescues. Oh, and turns out he's been building a mini-sub.)
