Land Rover Eastern Seaboard Gathering

THIS IS NOT THE AULRO NATIONAL GATHERING

Ok.....so I'm not going to the Aulro Natgath ... never was.
And since the suggestion of Yamba popped up and some people would
go there for a gathering of Land Rovers and people on this fourm,
can I put foward that this event goes ahead.

I want to head some where on the NSW coast to escape a bit of the Melbourne winter and the desert is not much my cup o tea.
I know others are interested to have a gathering (the ones not going to Maree) and think that Yamba is a good spot where the people that do attend from further away can make a nice family holiday to boot.

Whos up for it...
8th and 9th of july..

PLEASE NO ****....THIS IS NOT THE NATIONAL GATHERING THREAD

Would it not be wise to make it say the weekend before/after/some other time...?

I mean I agree the Yamba get together is a good idea...

But why, with 52 weeks in a year pick the same weekend...?

I'm sure there are a few QLD/NSW members who may go to both if they can.

Just a thought! (no **** intended)

Cheers
Mike

Your on the AULRO site so cause it’s a national gathering your trying to get going, furthermore as tombraider has pointed out AGAIN you don’t hold an alternate gathering just because you can’t make the first one.

Going to Yamba is not the point but if you were leaving Melbourne to find better weather, you would head for Rocky or Townsville not Yamba. That’s just going from a cold climate to a cold climate.

I’m sure there are those going to Maree who would also like to go the Yamba if it is going to be another gathering and no matter what you try to disguise it as, it’s still a national AULRO gathering otherwise you wouldn’t be on the AULRO site asking for support.

If you plan a Yamba meet in say September or later you will probably get most of those going to Maree, turning up for Yamba.

But to try to run a counter national meet is in extremely bad form, it’s just not done.

Hi weeds, post whatever dates you have in mind for Tassie and those wishing to go to Yamba can make sure the dates don’t clash, again, allowing anybody wishing to do both, to be able too.
