    Australia Post what`s happened ?

Ok who has given Australian post a scare? Some one must be leaning on them as there customer service has improved dramatically. Two items of late we have brought have arrived on time and in record time. Three days from purchase on line and it is at our door. Not only excellent service we have also got emails giving up dates on it`s arrival and asking if we liked there service. Hopefully this is not just a short term improvement.

Noticed another advert for them on TV tonight, trying to suggest that the postman 'cares'.

We are on a 'battle axe' block so a longish driveway. They stick a card in the mailbox rather than driving down to the house then we have to go to the Post Office to get our delivery !

Maybe they took notice of the abuse I gave them in their last survey ? [ I doubt it ]
Their idea of tracking is usually ....Sent....In Transit....Arrived . All of which are painfully obvious .
If they want to improve , all they have to do is look at DHL or UPS , now that's real tracking & 3 days from Europe to Aust.

You know there's a "show detailed tracking" button at the bottom of their tracking results page? Works for me.

I have to go to town to pickup my post , they usually notify me that it has arrived the day after I pick it up, which is usually 2 days after the post office gets it.
Detailed tracking usually consists of something like ...Brisbane....Perth....awaiting pickup , this covers the 2 weeks it takes for the trip .

You don't wait for the tracking numbers via email, you enter your tracking number directly into their tracking page.

I find that entering straight into the tracking app often has the same result as dero described, all late. :-)

I am always ordering stuff online and have the same issue.
Tracking numbers supplied but come up as wrong numbers often up until arrival or just before.

I do enjoy the tracking when it works though.
Watched a package go from the Clayton depo to Sunshine depo back to Clayton then to my area Gippsland.
Why it went West instead of East i have no idea. Assumed someone was smoking crack that day at the post office.

Generally though i like Aussie post. If i order from Mario i get it next morning. Normally during my first or second coffee! I love that.
Yep im happy with there service despite hickups. I order heaps and im a picky bugger so thats saying something.

Saying these good things Has NOTHING to do with the inlaw working there................

I’ve never had an issue with Aus post.....either sending or receiving.

Last week, 1st issue ever we had a delayed delivery, it was because a bottle leaked, would have been good if they phoned on the day so we could off arranged another bottle straight away. Either way they re-package the other goods, drain the bottle and included the empty bottle.
