Yep, but at least you have a base to learn from.

Why would I? My old man was into the boat thing. I find them boring. Besides, Billy, I've had enough hilarity watching people trying to back B-Doubles. Me included, early.
I maintain that there is nothing easier to back than a boat trailer, unless it's a semi.
Towing with a fwd is asking for it.
At the ramp i was watching a guy with a jeep grand cherokee. He went too low on the ramp, rear wheels into the slime, the traction control gave him almost no drive, he just sat there with an occasional short wheelspin. I think it was then noted that he was only in 2wd. I guess that wasnt such bad news as he then got out fairly easy.
Caravans are usually Much easier to reverse than a boat and saying that a boat is the easiest to reverse only shows that you have Never launched and retrieved on a gravel/mud bush ramp.
Keeping the trailer on track is only a small part of reversing a boat into the water, There are plenty of other hazards to contend with that you would never encounter when reversing a trailer, caravan or even a semi.
Including the ramp that ends in a one metre drop just beyond the edge of the muddy water!
The biggest thing I have backed. My first time was at the Avalon Airshow in 2005 where I had to back it into a spot between a crowd of about 20,000 people. Nothing like a bit of pressure[biggrin]
My car trailer is the easiest thing known to man to back .... If you want poeple to be amazed at your reversing skill .... back your car trailer up there drive. It is generally the width of there drive. And 6meters long front to be .... but you'll put it there easily. Simply because you can see every square centimeter of that trailer not only in the mirrors... but if you look over your shoulder, you can see the back corners of it ... the guards ... and you can see if your about to back it into something (unlike caravans and boats, where you can't see what you are backing into).
When people say they are amazed .... My answer always is "put a 6x4 on and watch me try and back it"..... or worse ... a single jetski trailer. Those bastard things are jacknifed by the time you see them in the mirrors.
