Yep, I did it a couple of times, but cant be bothered picking all the kitty litter gravel from the wee and poo balls , it is made of clay and would probably be no good for the pipes.

Ban all all plastic packaging and we might be getting somewhere. We try to minimi3 by buying bulk and fresh but it’s only a battle a quarter won.
Absolutely. No single use bags is about a business model to make more money. Environment is the marketing mechanism being used. Woolies are ****ed with Coles because thats where people who want bags wiill be going. You know they're not serious about plastic when you look at their shelves, it's always about the bottom line.

I hate having a cat but it's the wifes doing, I put a poo in the toilet once with some clay kitty litter. The clay sat in the bottom of the pan and stayed there it's an old toilet old shape pan. I have a septic so I don't do it for that reason also. We just use nappy bags like dog poo bags heaps cheaper.
Gonna miss having shopping bags especially for nappies we used to have a cupboard full. But plastic ain't no good if you can't recycle it even us greenie haters know that!

    Cheers Jim

China ban plastic bag a decade ago.

    Ten years ago.
    Ten years.

    That was 2008.

Reported Plastic bag usage down by 60%. Sometime people just do not need those stupid plastic bags. They abuse them because its free.

How does replacing degradable bags with non degradable "do something to improve the environment"?

And, don't lecture me about the hardship. I shop at Aldi, who have never provided bags. I am simply sick of the ****ing virtue signalling I hear on this topic. It has nothing to do with "the environment", it's just how superior it makes you feel.
