It's a way of regulating and controlling refrigerant use, Bob, but the compliance standards can be onerous.
Technically all refrigerants must be under lock and key at all times, even in our vehicles.
We need scrupulous records of stock levels and usage, we are audited, yada yada yada.

NSW Fair Trading have to get their slice of the action.
Mmmm must be a very interesting situation. So do you still need an Arctick license ? The way it was explained to us was its now all thru the commonwealth no more state agency's - hence my comment to Bob.

I am going thru the same thing with my Marine Masters tickets and my Engineering tickets, they now fall under AMSA , so my NT tickets no longer count.

Has it always been so. I'm not knocking it.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Yep, have to have the ARCtick license too, but technically can't do anything in NSW without the extra NSW license.

I can't really do any electrical stuff in Qld, NT and WA as they won't recognise my NSW qualifications. I need a separate restricted electrical license.

    It's an absolute ****.

    Since about 2007/8?

Prior to that it was all state EPA/licensing, if your state licensed it.

Yep ,my arctick license Marine use only , can do whatever needs to be done but once the vessel touches a wharf I cant touch it. My NT license was open . Never bothered to check my R.E.L and where it can / cant be used.

Their ‘Look for the tick’ website has been down since 29th July, initially expected to be back working 2nd August, now no date as to when it will be working. Bit of a joke really.

There is a rumour that the contract to run that department, ARCtick are a ‘contractor’ to the government, is due for renewal soon. ARMA are pushing to take it over.

Yep , look what happens now at Airports when the system is down , "utter bloody chaos" , i remember at petrol stations yrs ago when the power was off you could hand pump the bowser and pay in real money at the cash register , . . Notice how supply charges and other stuff never gets any cheaper now we doing all the work ourselves on the PC .
