End of the world- website crashed ?

    Gday All,

I can only wonder what the state of things are when you cant renew a license because the website is down, and has been for several weeks.
My Refrigerant Handling License is due to expire , and its usually a process online and payment and all good. The government department Arctick who handle these supply a number to call , which I did, and was expecting to be able to make the payment and either fax or post my paperwork to them.

The lady on the phone accessed my details thru my license number , but when I offered to pay the answer was I had to wait for the website to be repaired and do it thru there. I asked what would happen if my license expired and was told I would get an extension, but , she wasn't prepared to put that in an email to me.

Are we really that reliant on websites that we cant process things when they are not working.

    Cheers Ean

Welcome to the 21st century where we live our lives on line.

I hope it gets sorted soon, Mr Buttle. Or is that Mr Tuttle.
(note: If you haven't watched the movie "Brazil", you probably won't understand that reference, or the next one.)

You'll have to start a renegade refrigerant handling specialist business.

It's Darwin, go knock on their door, or kick it down.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

It's a Commonwealth licence? I thought NT was regulated by South Aus.

All refrigeration licences now fall under Arctick , which is a commonwealth department so no more state held licenses. Anyone who buys, sells, works on, or , with refrigerant gas has to have a Arctick license of some form.

Even more reason to have a back up when the website is down.
