SupporterIts been a long time since we did the French Line and between hospital visits etc we might have a window October November to visit some spots we missed last time. eg Chambers Pillar.
However I am thinking its getting a bit late. We always travel solo so can change our plans on route if need be.
Last time was in our 2A Forward Control now I want to try the 6x6 Forward control to see the difference if any over the dunes.

The short answer is yes. The Simpson is usually closed from Dec 1 to mid March (from memory) but can still be very hot in November. IMO it would be more of an ordeal than a pleasurable experience to travel travel there this 'late in the season'. If your health is a bit 'iffy' (you mention travel between hospital visits) then earlier in the season and with a very good aircon may be a more prudent choice.
