Melb M this week. Portland Marathon for Western Districts disruption four weeks Mick. Heaps of lycra on the roads near Port Fairy- Koroit Saturday morning (I was running) Most of them get into coffee shops before9am [biggrin] Want to know where the good coffee is ask a bike rider not a runner.

Having a view WA is a rather big place I have always thought Vic is really rather petite.

Grampians, Mount Cole, Ararat surrounding hills and some big lumps towards Geelong clearly viable from the top of Mount Cole. Line of sight to horizon from sea level is about 5000 metres. I am not a flat earther promise

I’m near Garvoc which is about 45km or so from Warrnambool, so a couple of hours drive away from Portland. [emoji16]

I thought the Melbourne marathon was to Qld every winter? Or was that migration...…..

This Dutch idea is not much good if one is a fat bastard, 'cos it's difficult to reach & use the door handle with the left hand on a D1 as it is so far forward. (So a mate tells me, mind) [bigsmile1]

Gent who owns a shop near me is 60+ year old. He was 150kg. He walked a bit jogged a little, walked a bit more, jogged a little bit more-- Inside 6 months he jogged/walked his first marathon. He is now about 70kgs. Your mate could turn his head to see bike riders if he tried that slow trick.

I (OOPS [tonguewink].) already do that+ the D1 also has large mirrors, but have had the occasion when just as you want to open the door some bugger shoots out to the side from up close behind. Not always visible until they do that.:bat:
