The " Dutch reach " that can save cyclists lives.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

    Cool

Nice idea Bob. Finally got a bike shed at my kids primary school, They are running a Bike Education course for the hundreds of new healthier kids about to be riding to school rather than the mums and dads all trying to park at the front gate to pick up and drop off the kids. Those who hate bike riders might like the fact that 600 less cars blocking the roads while picking up or dropping off Johnny or Kate at the school gate twice a day will make a lot their own drives much quicker as long as the Car drivers are considerate and respectful do not kill the kids and stop them riding to school.

I have been often running the 2 bike 3km to and from school often as in the past as the school was anti bike. They did not like me locking the kids bikes to the school fence as "other kids would want to ride to school"

Funnily enough due to the traffic school drop off and pick up congestion. I can run to or from the kids school faster than my neighbors who drive. I chuckle as I wave to them every day. In Japan recently, The millions of people riding there was amazing. I think "Dooring" is mostly a inner city issue and all Landrover drivers check before opening their doors of course.

Old habits die hard hey. Still running, ever since CDAT.

Melbourne Marathon this Sunday- sorry to all drivers diverted while 34,000 fellow running/walking nuts go for a stroll. 4 weeks later I will keep the nice Portland drivers and runners company. Sorry Mick Marsh.Happily for Mick the roads aren't closed just "be nice" signs for that one. Lillydale a few weeks later.

Get your superstar to come for a Half ?

I have a bike but seldom have time to get on it due to my bad habits Bob

Back on Topic. Love to try a ride around the bay this one. I say that every year and always seem to be busy. Category: | Herald Sun

Why apologise to me? I won't be anywhere near there.

That reminds me. I must order a bike rack plate for the new number plate. Now that it is heading for summer, when it stops raining I think I'll cycle to the cafes after work in the evenings for a light snack.

What! The Melbourne Marathon is in Portland?
Only flat earthers think Western Vic is a small place. Most realise you can't see past the horizon.

Don't see much lycra around here. Saw some leather Saturday a little before lunch.
You can ride. I'll meet you there. I don't have that much time to spare. What sort of distance can you ride in a 24 hour period?
