Try going to a small bakery where they still do the bread in shop. Our local one at Thompson Parkway shops does the bread in shop and it is sold still quite warm. This is where we got the term hot bread shop from as the bakery at South Belgrave also does there own bread.Quote:
I’ve never seen hot bread for sale.....always cold bread.

Nor is a milk bar a place where cows are confined by a bar while being milked.
Nor is a cow bails a place where cows throw water around.
Still a common term here...have one called Deakin Hot Bread and you can see the bread being prepared and cooked
etc as they open about 5.30-6 am when the bakers are still working.
Many years go in Mildura we had a Hot Bread Shop called "Devil's Kitchen" and their bread, pies, and pasties etc were good tucker.
Cheers, Mick.
