    Bob Boost - ongoing pain

Hi all in the great world of landrover,

My nane is Djirilina, i’m the wife of Bob, a 110/defender nut since was 4 when he climbed his parents glass cabinet to reach his fathers camel trophy 110 model, you can all guess what happened next......!!!

Bob has had a severe injury at work whilst actively firefighting, and this has ben ongoing for the last 2 year 9 months and 21 days....not that i’m counting!!

I wanted to drop a post on here, because, he spend so much of his time when he’s in pain on here looking at all things landrover and now since we bought Jock’s 110, Isuzu (we love the bus Jock!)

i want to start a discussion on the systemic failure of insurance companys when it comes to workers compensation, and especially long term care.

I am going to post a couple of links, one both to facebook posts, where you can find more information on the frustration we have and the injuries bob suffers from, please don’t feel obliged to donate to the go fund me, its just what is written in the bio is very factual and will give anyone interesred an insight into our story.

kind regards, Djirilina ( im Dede, bob is Butu, it was a name given to us a friends toddler years ago, hence butundede)

    Hi
If the ongoing pain and disability is clearly due to the injury sustained while firefighting then you are one the right path.
See what your legal situation is to hold the barstards to account.
Speak to your local state member and go public ie national media if it won’t weaken your legal position. There is a good appetite in the media for unethical insurers.
I hope you are getting the best medical and rehab advice possible. Good luck with it all.

    What has happened to workcover?

Why is Allianz involved in a workers compensation claim?

    Thanks for sharing Dede Djirilina

Not obliged to, I happily donated to the fund. Keep us in the loop with what both the Tasmanian government and Allianz insurance does to fix the mistake in helping Butu.

My business deals with them often - I will be mentioning the case often to the poor sods at Allianz each time as I can.

    Regards James

Hi all, Up for a challenge? How about you sharing this as widely as possible to help put some accountability on the insurance and if needed the government!

    Thanks guys,

Bob here, been a busy few days, got out of hospital yesterday and had news outlets hassling me. The Union (United Firefigthers Union) and the lads at work have been doing a power of work to bring this to the attention of the right people.
Im starting a few treatments tomorrow thanks to the go fund me set up, thanks for all involved, getting the message out there is really important, and the big picture is to make a change to the legislation to hold organisations to account and close the lophole the insurance companys find. Them saying they are working within the legislatino may be correct, but it doesnt make it right.
    cheers Bob
