My thoughts exactly. Unless it's recharged on some sort of renewable energy, it's running on coal.

I charge from solar but incase the sun explodes heres my local power station .

Daughter just got her first power bill since we installed solar hot water. It was down 40% on the same quarter last year. And that's only solar hot water. Time for some batteries, I think.

Im holding off on batteries / power wall . Im thinking of converting a boat to Electric & if I do I'll use the boat batteries to run the house . Almost cheaper to buy a new electric outboard than to convert an existing outboard.
