Såklart det finns tomtenissar! Nu är det dags att bjuda dem på något gott. Skål!
Now I am sure those of Danish heritage amongst us have this in hand. Others need to be informed. At Jul (Christmas Eve) it is traditional to offer your house or barn elf (nisse) a bowl of rice porridge (risengrod) and a nip of snaps. The nisse lives in your house or barn and protects you, your family, and animals from misfortune. So look after your nisse as they can cause you misfortune if offended. "We haven't got a nisse" you say. Yes, you have. Everyone has a nisse. You just can't see it.
Nisser all carry a little wooden spoon at Jul to eat all the risengrod they are offered. Very occasionally a nisse might not drink the snaps. Teetollers are rare in Denmark. The father of the house then has to dispose of the snaps.

There are people who spend all weekend cleaning the car.
And there are people who drive Discovery.
I'd prefer a barn owl if I had a barn.
