For some reason I thought there’d be some weird amd wonderful brewers to choose from…but is was all available at the bottlo.

Soooo I tried what I hadn’t had before, they were a little surprised that I asked for it nest with an extra cup of ice.

    Soo, tried these 4

    Jack Daniels Sinatra
    George Dickel
    Knob creek
    Makers mark 46

Knobs creek was the only one I finished neat, the other three tasted better with one cube of ice.

The Sinatra was most expensive at 4 drink tokens.

I started with a Your Mates Tilly to quench the thirst as it was rather tropical walking the 1.5km….
Haven't tried the Sinatra, I bought a bottle of Makers Mark 46 and found it a bit too overpowering even with some ice, I rather like the ordinary Makers Mark though. Dickel is OK, I've got a bottle in the cupboard. If you are doing the bottle shop tastings try and get hold of some Blantons. Very good stuff that fuelled a work trip to NY a couple of years ago, was the only top shelf bourbon that was available at most bars :-)

well , yesterday I got permission from my son to broach the bottle of Jack Daniels "hooch" that he made for me for fathers day.

yes it does taste "like" JD , very drinkable and very smooth which I believe is due to the "wash" and keeping it below 40 proof.

I'm going to have another taste right now......cheers.

    .....only one now

Thought I'd have a scotch and to my dismay there was less than half a nip left in my 18yo Glenfiddich After polishing that off I had a little of the Deveron, quite a nice drop and one that is a little obscure

Well, hopefully in 12-16 years we can when the green batches mature...
