Could the grey nomad experience be the way for future generations?

Grey nomad lifestyle provides a model for living remotely
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Numerous sites advertise work for grey nomads, or house and property sitting to enable country people to take a well earned break. This is one.

We gave the nomad thing a try a few years back . Found after a short while , and committed to being away , that we didn’t enjoy the experience that much. Perhaps we would have been better to do shorter duration trips . Chalk one up to experience.

Sounds like you weren't ready, Trog. Perhaps, if you decide to go again, logging on to one of the nomad sites and organising property sits, or house sits, or even short term work may be better. Or perhaps you may settle and decide to stay somewhere. Either way, I think you will know.

Yes agree with that,i don't think i could do it for long, maybe 6 months max.Even that could be too long.

Shorter trips are the go for us.

Too much going on at home to be gone for extended periods.

ATM,i am just hanging around at work hoping for the sack......

Then we can sort out what we are doing...

We are planning it. When our house sells, we'll clear some debts, set a date and be off.

He's a confused soul, Bob. Fancy moving from the best state to Mexico.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

I have not done the Grey Nomad thing, but some of those advertisements seem to want far more than they are offering in return. A bit of exploitation maybe.
