Australians of the year, good one.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Now Ean you are part of the problem. I know where you are coming from, but mate , pull your head in , for the common good.

You know nothing about me or my family Bob ,how can you say I am part of the problem ? I don't confirm to your view , doesn't meant I don't understand, or am part of the problem, look up my family history in coonamble and surrounds and your views of me may change.

Not confrontational , just stating fact.

Fair enough. I just think there has been too much talk of invasion day, and Australia day has turned into a bit of a joke, really. The proper date for Australia Day is January 1st.

Because there are politics of division in this country right now, and Australia will never move forward whilst divided. The first step to reconciliation would be to move Australia Day to the date federation was declared, which I believe is Jan. 1st. A date decided by the Australian people, through their elected representatives. As long as we celebrate a random English man stepping on our soil and claiming Terra Nullis [ think that's it] we will always exclude a large portion of our population. Like it or not, until our indigenous people are made to feel included in the Australian story, we will always have this division. And radicals from both sides will take advantage of this division. I don't want my grandchildren to be having this conversation. As distasteful as it may be for some, we must find a way . Just my thoughts, if we can't do this, I fear for the future of this country.

No - why cannot Ean express his views on this forum that may or may not be counter to your own.
