Growth Capitalism keeps creating the haves and the have nots; feast or famine situations, which inevitably result in conflict.

But there are other more equitable models of capitalism. We need to look to the Nordic model IMO. Nordic model - Wikipedia.

Um well times have changed a little. But you never know, given their ‘vehicle’ emissions would have been predominantly Methane. LOL

Global warming isn't a new idea. We have to think about long-term climate, not short-term weather.
I read that the last time we had similar conditions to now with greenhouse gases causing global warming was about 250 million years ago, and 97% of life on Earth died.
This time, we have humans around to make the problems even worse.

The major reason for this change was the so called "Little Ice Age", which saw much of the world significantly colder than both the preceding Medieval Warming and the following industrial warming. A whole range of possible causes for this have been proposed, but one that seems most likely to me is the depopulation of much of Eurasia by the Black Death in the 14-15th century followed by the depopulation of the Americas by disease after the arrival of Europeans from the end of the fifteenth century both led to very large areas of farmland returning to forest, reducing the CO2 in the atmosphere.

Markets were held on the frozen Thames in London up to the late eighteenth century, and a factor here was the Old London Bridge, which could perhaps best be described as a dam with holes. By pooling the water upstream of the bridge, freezing over was a lot easier. This effect was mitigated by the 'Great Arch' built in 1759, and removed with the new bridge in 1833.

I read that the Black Death originated in Mongolia on fleas on animals and was carried to Europe by travellers along the Silk Roads.

Banks and investment are not radical federals. The report from GoldmanSachs is a very balanced view I thought almost conservative yet showing significant concerns. Noticed the UK has had a month of no burning black stuff suggesting others are doing a lot more than we are. Happily noted my PV solar today is cooling my work and home plus giving a little back to share.

I look forward to the increased land value of my house being beachfront at 500m above sea level and the subsequent improvement at our farm as a result of being coastal, maybe I should buy some dairy cows ? (that would have to be a good investment)

The Human race is never truly happy unless they have something to worry about, climate change has merely filled the emotional void that was created by the Soviet Union collapsing and removing the threat of nuclear annihilation.

Doesn't mean that we shouldnt stop improving our environment when we can or buying products that are better for the environment, apart from that there is little an individual can do, so I wish these smelly gereenies would stop their self important protests and trying to make me feel guilty for breathing.

As for Australia being a leader, shouldn't we stop immigration today because our continent can't sustain its current population. Oh wait, that would be xenophobic and not be part of the global community, and if our population grows our per capita polution comes down. But wait, gross pollution will go up as a country so we would be worse off.

I'm confused now.........

Not in and of itself. Rising sea levels will flood a lot of low lying coastal areas, but that does not have any direct effect on rainfall. And the flooding with salt water does nothing for growing things. (Although not all the flooding will be salt - some of it will be fresh where river flow is backed up.
